Food and Friends is a series of 6 workshops with the aim of increasing peoples knowledge and skills on growing food, cooking healthy meals, tips on how to eat healthier and how to reduce food waste.
Usually held weekly, the Food and Friends course, outlined below, has hands-on cooking class with a long table lunch for participants on sessions 2, 4, and 6. In these sessions we use portable induction cooktops, giving people the opportunity to learn how they work and the benefits to health and the environment.
A hands on gardening activity and a healthy morning tea is provided on alternate weeks.
